Ask your insurer for the exact required category and any driver-recognition or immobilisation conditions. TrakShield S7 Monitor and TrakShield S5 Authenticate are different categories; Dual does not replace S5. We can help you match the requirement, but only your insurer can confirm acceptance.
Both provide live tracking. S5 also adds automatic driver recognition through a separate ID fob. Driver recognition alone does not prevent the engine starting; that needs an immobiliser such as TrakShield Immobilise or the combined TrakShield Prevent system.
A tracker helps locate a vehicle; an immobiliser helps prevent an unauthorised start. TrakShield Immobilise provides immobilisation without tracking. TrakShield Prevent combines immobilisation, S5 tracking and driver recognition. No system makes a vehicle theft-proof.
TrakShield prices include taxes. The corporate comparison lists 12 months of subscription for tracker packages and no ongoing subscription for TrakShield Immobilise. Professional fitting is arranged at a time and place that suits you. Tracking packages include the first 12 months’ subscription and renew at £149 per year; TrakShield Immobilise has no tracking subscription.
Applicable tracking and monitoring packages include the first 12 months’ subscription, then renew at £149 per year. Standalone TrakShield Immobilise does not require a tracking subscription.
Police liaison and frontline recovery are different services. Frontline recovery and repatriation can be chargeable and require your authorisation. Recovery is not guaranteed. The app guidance describes police liaison at no added cost, with an optional separately authorised frontline recovery attempt. Ask the team to confirm your specific package.
Contact the police and obtain a crime reference number. Then use the recovery contact in your TrakShield app or service documentation. Follow the monitoring team’s instructions and do not attempt to retrieve the vehicle yourself. In immediate danger, call 999.
No. Sleeper reports at scheduled intervals and the app shows its last reported position. It uses its own battery and sleeps between reports. Confirm the supplied reporting schedule and monitoring service with the team; source pages describe different configurations.
Location reporting depends on satellite reception and mobile-network coverage. Underground parking, some buildings and poor coverage can interrupt updates. The app can show the last reported location. A tracker is not a guarantee of continuous location or recovery.
We arrange professional installation at a time and place that suits you. The team confirms your vehicle and appointment, then the engineer fits and configures the applicable product and helps you get started. Some Sleeper configurations may be suitable for self-fit; we will confirm if that applies.
A change-of-vehicle service can be requested. Contact support before removing a professionally installed device so compatibility, removal, refitting and any charges can be confirmed.
The TrakShield app supports multiple devices on an account. You can view individual devices and an overview. Available information depends on whether each device provides live or interval tracking.
