How this review website works

The product finder runs in your browser using the vehicle details and priorities you enter. It does not request your number plate or use an automatic vehicle lookup. Your answers remain in your basket when attached to a product. If you place an order, attached guide choices are saved with that order to help our team confirm compatibility.

The enquiry form prepares a message in your own email application. You must send it there. It does not submit or save your enquiry on this website. You can also email the TrakShield team using the address on our contact page.

Shopping and payment

We check selected products, quantities and prices before checkout. The existing merchant checkout is provided at tgss-trackershop.com. Where Stripe checkout is used, Stripe collects card details securely; TrakShield receives payment references and saves your name, contact details, supplied fitting address, product selection, guide choices and renewal consent in Firebase. We record each tracker’s activation and renewal status to arrange fitting and administer your service. TrakShield does not store your full card number or security code.

Optional website analytics

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 through Firebase measures visits and completed purchases using browser identifiers, device information and approximate location. After a confirmed live purchase, we may send product names, quantities, subscription terms, discounts, the amount paid and a unique order reference when you return to the confirmation page. Page addresses exclude URL queries, fragments and private return links. We do not send form answers, contact or payment details. Checkout and staff pages are excluded. Advertising features are disabled. You can reject or withdraw consent in Cookies & storage. Google processes analytics information under its privacy policy.

Optional advertising cookies

Only if you allow marketing cookies, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives browser and device information, public page categories, product IDs and successful basket additions. After a verified paid order, we may report its value, currency, product quantities and a unique reference to measure sales and avoid duplicate reports. This helps us show relevant adverts and exclude purchasers from reminders. The advertising tags run in a separate document with no access to your forms or private checkout links. We do not send your name, email, address, vehicle details, card information, URL queries or fragments to the advertising tags.

Marketing is off until you make this separate choice; earlier analytics consent does not turn it on. We remember your choice for up to 180 days using “trakshield-marketing-consent-v1”. Meta may use “_fbp” and “_fbc” cookies, typically lasting up to 90 days. We retain up to 100 dispatched order references for up to 180 days under “trakshield-marketing-purchases-v1” to prevent duplicates. Withdrawing marketing consent unloads the advertising tags and removes these first-party cookies and references. It does not erase data already received by Meta. Manage both choices in Cookies & storage. Meta processes information under its privacy policy.

External services

The checkout provider’s privacy notice applies to interactions with that merchant. Official app store links and any remotely loaded product or app imagery contact their respective providers. The hosting provider may process technical logs. Firebase stores orders with access restricted to authorised staff. Resend delivers transactional order, activation and renewal emails when connected.
